Come and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas spirit! Each year, on the first Monday of December, The Carriage House Inn and the Town of Emmitsburg sponsor an Evening of Christmas Spirit. The evening begins at the Emmitsburg town square with the “Town Tree” lighting—then, on to The Carriage House Inn for caroling, rides on a horse-drawn surrey and hayrides through the town. Enjoy complimentary hotdogs and cookies, and live entertainment from local vocalists and musicians. The children can participate in a live nativity scene and visit with Santa and his elves. Canned goods and donations are accepted for the Emmitsburg Lions Club Christmas Food Drive.
JoAnn Hance Annual Memorial Golf Tournament.Join area golfers and those just out for a good time at our annual golf tournament. Every August, The Carriage House Inn sponosors a golf tournament at Carroll Valley Resort in Pennsylvania. You day begins with a shot gun start at 9:00 a.m. Following 18 holes, come and enjoy a complimentary dinner served in JoAnn’s Ballroom. A golf cart, goodie bag and prizes are included in your entrance fee. The proceeds from the golf tournament benefit Up-County Family Center, Emmitsburg Lions Club and the Sister Barbara Hance Homeless Shelter.
Wine Dinners.If you love wine, you’ll love our Wine Dinners! Imagine being served a five-course meal, featuring culinary creations prepared by our executive chef, Paul Karsteter and staff, each paired with a matching wine. Enjoy the soft piano sylings of our own Linda Duffy while you dine. Reservations are required, so be sure to check our monthly newsletters for future dates and times. Portions of all proceeds from our Wine Dinners benefit the Up-County Family Center.
