Owner, Jim Hance.
Jim and his family have worked in the hospitality industry since they opened Gentleman Jim’s in 1971. Jim’s 38years of successes are coupled with his unwavering support to his family and community. He is a charter member of the Emmitsburg Lions Club.
Owner and General Manager, Bob Hance.
Bob was the original executive chef of the Carriage House Inn, a position he held from 1986-1996. He is very active in the community, including being a member of the Board of Directors of Frederick County Tourism Council, President of the Board of Directors for Up-County Family Center and a charter member of the NETC Emmitsburg Alliance. Bob and his wife Dana have a beautiful 17 year old daughter and twin 7 year old boys.
Executive Chef, Paul Karsteter.
Paul graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College in 1996. In his capacity as executive chef, he had been active in the community by offering seminars in “Real World Advice” to local schools. He has worked at the Carriage House Inn for 12 years, where he met his wife, Theresa. They have 3 beautiful children.
Dining Room Manager, Kristy Shriner.
Kristy has been at the Carriage House Inn for 12 years. Her beautiful smile and warm personality will welcome you into our dining room. Kristy spends her "spare" time with her husband Larry and adorable daughters, Taylor and brand new baby, Brooke!
Catering Manager, Jeannie Phelps.
Jeannie is a graduate of Frostburg State University. She comes to the Carriage House Inn after owning and operating her own business for 18 years. With the wisdom and insight gained from that business, Jeannie is excited about creating your "once in a lifetime" event. Call Jeannie @ 301-447-3625.
