Owner, Jim Hance.

Jim and his family have worked in the hospitality industry since they opened Gentleman Jim’s in 1971. Jim’s 38years of successes are coupled with his unwavering support to his family and community. He is a charter member of the Emmitsburg Lions Club.

Owner and General Manager, Bob Hance.

Bob was the original executive chef of the Carriage House Inn, a position he held from 1986-1996. He is very active in the community, including being a member of the Board of Directors of Frederick County Tourism Council, President of the Board of Directors for Up-County Family Center and a charter member of the NETC Emmitsburg Alliance. Bob and his wife Dana have twin 12 year old boys.

Dining Room Manager, Kristy Shriner.

Kristy has been at the Carriage House Inn for 17 years. Her beautiful smile and warm personality will welcome you into our dining room. Kristy spends her “spare” time with her husband Larry and adorable daughters, Taylor and Brooke!

Catering Manager, Jeannie Phelps.

Jeannie is a graduate of Frostburg State University. She comes to the Carriage House Inn after owning and operating her own business for 18 years. With the wisdom and insight gained from that business, Jeannie is excited about creating your “once in a lifetime” event.
